Prepare the base
-
Add the blackberries and lemon juice to a blender and blend until completely pureed.
-
Press the puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, using a spatula to extract as much fruit as possible, then discard the seeds.
-
Return the strained puree to the blender, add the Greek yogurt, honey and salt, and blend briefly until smooth and evenly combined.
Freeze and spin
-
Pour the mixture into a Ninja CREAMi pint, without exceeding the MAX FILL line.
-
Close with the storage lid and freeze flat for 24 hours.
-
Once fully frozen, run the FROZEN YOGURT program.
No FROZEN YOGURT? Use LITE ICE CREAM instead.
-
If the texture is powdery or crumbly after the first cycle, run RE-SPIN.
Still not right after re-spinning? See how to fix the texture .
Serve
Serve immediately, while the ice cream is still nice and creamy.
Storing leftovers
Flatten any remaining ice cream to level the surface before returning the pint to the freezer. This will make the next spin easier and reduce unnecessary strain on the machine. Learn more about after-serving habits.
Tips
- Use fully ripe, deeply colored blackberries for the strongest flavor and a less acidic result.
- Do not skip straining: blackberry seeds remain noticeably coarse after processing.
- Full-fat Greek yogurt gives the base enough body to stay creamy while preserving its fresh yogurt tang.
