Prepare the base
-
Finely crush 30 g of the Oreo cookies.
-
Add the whole milk, heavy cream, cream cheese, sugar, salt and finely crushed cookies to a blender.
-
Blend until the cream cheese is fully incorporated and the base is smooth, with fine dark cookie specks throughout.
Freeze and spin
-
Pour the mixture into a Ninja CREAMi pint, without exceeding the MAX FILL line.
-
Close with the storage lid and freeze flat for 24 hours.
-
Once fully frozen, run the ICE CREAM program.
-
If the texture is powdery or crumbly after the first cycle, run RE-SPIN.
Still not right after re-spinning? See how to fix the texture .
Prepare the mix-ins
-
Break the remaining 30 g of Oreo cookies into small pieces and keep them covered at room temperature.
-
Make a hole about 4 cm wide down the center of the ice cream, add the reserved Oreo pieces and run the MIX-IN program.
Serve
Serve immediately, while the ice cream is still nice and creamy.
Storing leftovers
Flatten any remaining ice cream to level the surface before returning the pint to the freezer. This will make the next spin easier and reduce unnecessary strain on the machine. Learn more about after-serving habits.
Tips
- Use Oreo Original cookies for the expected sweetness and chocolate-to-creme balance; other varieties can change the texture and sugar level.
- Keep the reserved cookies in small pieces rather than fine crumbs so they remain distinct after the MIX-IN cycle.
- For firmer cookie pieces, reserve a few and fold them into each serving by hand.
