Prepare the base

  1. Add the whole milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract and salt to a mixing bowl.

  2. Whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved and the base is smooth.

Freeze and spin

  1. Pour the mixture into a Ninja CREAMi pint, without exceeding the MAX FILL line.

  2. Close with the storage lid and freeze flat for 24 hours.

  3. Once fully frozen, run the ICE CREAM program.

  4. If the texture is powdery or crumbly after the first cycle, run RE-SPIN.

Still not right after re-spinning? See how to fix the texture .

Prepare the mix-ins

  1. Break the KitKat into small pieces, keeping some slightly larger pieces for a more noticeable wafer crunch.

  2. Make a hole about 4 cm wide down the center of the ice cream, add the KitKat pieces and run the MIX-IN program.

Serve

  1. Serve the desired amount of ice cream in a glass or any other container of your choice.

  2. Drizzle the ice cream with chocolate sauce.

  3. Mix in the sauce to your liking.

  4. Enjoy!

Storing leftovers

Flatten any remaining ice cream to level the surface before returning the pint to the freezer. This will make the next spin easier and reduce unnecessary strain on the machine. Learn more about after-serving habits.

Tips

  • Add the KitKat only after the first spin so the base stays distinctly vanilla and the wafer retains more texture.
  • Keep the pieces small enough to distribute evenly and remain easy to eat when cold.
  • Serve immediately after the MIX-IN cycle for the softest texture and clearest wafer crunch.
  • Use a thick chocolate sauce at room temperature so it drizzles smoothly over the ice cream without making it runny.
  • KitKat also pairs well with caramel sauce. You can use it in place of the chocolate sauce.
